Whiskey, Bananas and the New Era of Egoless Creativity

Tom O’Keefe is the founder and CEO of AdAge’s 2015 Small Agency of The Year, O’Keefe Reinhard & Paul (OKRP), a new model creative agency based in Chicago. While O’Keefe spent time in Silicon Valley in the late ‘90s where he worked on the Amazon account, the FCB veteran looked instead to Hollywood for inspiration when starting OKRP. O’Keefe will talk about the blurring of the lines between entertainment and advertising, how agencies can learn from the collective setup of production companies, why he sees content as being “disposable” and thinks agencies need to be more prolific.

He’ll share the biggest challenges in the US advertising market – spoiler alert: talent is top of the list – and explain why he believes big agencies of all disciplines need to think differently to compete long term.
