Bec Brideson - Gender Intelligence & Venus Comms

Bec Brideson is an award-winning female founder and advertising leader. She has spoken globally on the power of gender intelligence in marketing. Bec is on a mission to teach business how to harness the immense commercial power of using the lens of gender in marketing strategy.
In 2004, Bec opened Australia’s first female-focused agency Venus Comms and expanded with a Gender Intelligence consultancy in 2015. In high demand, Bec consults on catalysing innovation by embedding a female lens to increase profit, drive culture change and evolve business practice to meet changing market forces – specifically the needs of the fast-rising global female market.
Bec debuted her first business book Blind Spots, published by Wiley last year and was honoured as a global juror at the Cannes Lions. She continues to co-create game-changing initiatives with top brands like AFLW’s lock-out launch campaign ‘I’d Like To See That’ and helping Shebah raise $3million of crowd-sourced funds from over 90% of female investors.
With not one female-founded Advertising Agency in a holding group or on Madison Ave, Bec has started researching procurement practises with a movement called Women With Agency – with the specific goal to literally “level the pitch” and support female-founded business in the marketing world.
