General Manager, Customer Engagement
Cindy Vandecasteele has recently joined Alinta Energy as the General Manager Customer Engagement. In this role she is accountable for the digital and direct sales and service channels, the customer experience and the customer engagement model that will enable Alinta Energy customers to transition to a low carbon future.
Prior to joining Alinta Energy, Cindy worked at Australian Unity as their Chief Customer Officer to embed member-centricity in every part of the organisation, mature the digital channel experience and deliver on the brand promise of real wellbeing for AU’s members.
Cindy is a leader in the Customer Experience field, who draws on international experience across consulting, corporate and start-up world. She worked as the VP Product Strategy for a Customer Data Platform company in New York City, assisting Financial Services companies in personalising their customer experience through the power of data. She held various executive roles at National Australia Bank, during which she introduced Net Promotor Score to the personal bank, built the business banking call centre and subsequently won the ATA’s Victorian Call Centre of the Year award. Cindy’s passion for the customer dates as far back as her early career days as a management consultant with Accenture in Europe, where she joined the Customer Relationship Management Service Line.
