Damien Woods is a seasoned learning and development executive with a life long passion for learning and helping foster learning culture in the businesses he supports. He currently leads the learning team for 7 Eleven Australia which covers both support office and store network learning and growth initiatives. Prior to his current role, he has worked across various sectors and lead large, multi-national teams of L&D people in businesses such as NAB, ANZ and Rio Tinto. Damien’s passion is for consistently challenging how businesses approach learning and performance, and trialling new ways to build learning habits into how people work. To this end, his current role at 7 Eleven allows him to explore ways of fostering learning in a fully agile business context. He has a keen interest in the intersection between learning and technology, as well as the learner-centred and behavioural changes that are required to change how people approach their learning in order to perform better in their roles. Damien is a regular writer on learning on sites such as LinkedIn and has been a guest on numerous podcasts.
