Deepti is an accomplished and award-winning Learning and Capability Leader with 17+ years’ experience demonstrating a record of success leading the design and delivery of major workforce and organisational transformation initiatives across the Telecommunications, Media and Technology, Banking, Financial Services industries, and the Public Sector. She is an advocate for learning agility and autonomous learning cultures. In her current role as the Head of Enterprise Capability and Transformation at Westpac Group, Deepti is leading strategic and accelerator capabilities and is working on influencing making learning more equitable and sustainable. She is a storyteller and applies people-centric approaches to create “experiences” and “learning communities” that help people prepare for their now and future.
She started her career as a frontline journalist & news producer and over the years she has leveraged her skills in narrative and content design in creating learning journeys for human-centred behavioural and developmental programmes. She is an enabler of creativity in learning and brings design thinking principles to co-create in environments that are risk-averse and have competing priorities.
Deepti has also won several awards in Learning content/film categories. Some of these include: 2019 Stevie Silver International Business Awards – Best Training Films, 2019 Stevie Silver International Business Awards – Best Learning Campaign design, New York Festivals Television and Film Awards, 2015 Silver World Medal Best Industrial Production.
