Deepti is an accomplished and award-winning Learning and Capability Leader with 17+ years’ experience demonstrating a record of success leading the design and delivery of major workforce and organisational transformation initiatives across the Telecommunications, Media and Technology, Banking, Financial Services industries, and the Public Sector. She is an advocate for learning agility and autonomous learning cultures. In her current role as the Head of Enterprise Capability and Transformation at Westpac Group, Deepti is leading strategic and accelerator capabilities and is working on influencing making learning more equitable and sustainable. She is a storyteller and applies people-centric approaches to create “experiences” and “learning communities” that help people prepare for their now and future.

She started her career as a frontline journalist & news producer and over the years she has leveraged her skills in narrative and content design in creating learning journeys for human-centred behavioural and developmental programmes. She is an enabler of creativity in learning and brings design thinking principles to co-create in environments that are risk-averse and have competing priorities.

Deepti has been recognised with multiple awards in Learning and Development, as well as in Learning content and film categories. Her accolades include the 2024 Gold for “Best Use of Blended Learning” at the Brandon Hall Group HCM Excellence Awards and the 2023 LearnX Award – Platinum for ‘Best Learning and Development’ program. She has also received the 2019 Stevie Silver International Business Awards for Best Training Films and Best Learning Campaign Design, the New York Festivals Television and Film Awards, and the 2015 Silver World Medal for Best Industrial Production.
