James is the Portfolio Performance Group Human Capital Lead for Macquarie Asset Management (MAM) across Asia-Pacific. He provides expert advice to the MAM Real Assets investment teams, portfolio company management teams, boards, and directors on all matters people and culture, working in partnership with service providers, operating partners, and non-executive directors. In this role, James can fully indulge his passion for actively engaging, including, and developing diverse people and teams to improve business results.
James is a seasoned executive leader with broad international experience and has worked in both start-up and large corporate leadership roles focused on creating value through people, with operational experience managing national and international leadership teams.
In his spare time, James volunteers as a patrolling Surf Life Saver on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. James has a Master’s degree and an undergraduate degree in business psychology and is the author of The Barefoot Leader: Simple Effective Leadership.
