James Sampson

Establishing DataXu’s regional HQ in Singapore, James Sampson is leading DataXu’s expansion efforts in the Asia-Pacific region, making it possible for multi-national brands to launch programmatic campaigns with a deep understanding of their consumers on a truly global scale. With close to five years at one of the globe’s leading programmatic marketing platform, James understands how disruptive technology can transform client’s business models.

Prior to DataXu, James managed Nokia Interactive’s (Nokia’s Mobile Advertising Unit) global strategy. He pursued strategic partnerships focusing on new business models, tested emerging technologies, and worked throughout Nokia and NAVTEQ bring about alternative monetization opportunities for its devices, services, and partners. He was also an early member and head financial analyst at Enpocket, an original player in the mobile advertising industry, which was ultimately acquired by Nokia in 2007.

James graduated Cum Laude from Northeastern University with a B.S. in Business Administration. He was a member of the Mobile Marketing Association’s US Mobile Commerce and Mobile Coupon Committee and is an active member of several Boston and Singapore based mobile and interactive advertising associations.
