Professor Karen Nelson-Field is a global authority in media strategy and the Founder and CEO of Amplified Intelligence.

She spent 15 years on the client side (Diageo, NewsCorp) before completing her PhD in media science at Ehrenberg-Bass Institute. Karen’s research, particularly in digital media effectiveness, has been noted in prestigious industry publications including The New York Times, Bloomberg Business, CNBC, Forbes, Fox Business Wall Street National and Huffington Post and she has secured research funding from some of the world’s largest advertisers including Unilever, Mars, NewsCorp, all Australian Television Networks, Google, eBay and others. Her current commercial work focuses around the concept of intelligence amplification where human intelligence is amplified with technology, in particular where leading-edge AI removes bias from research design. 

A regular speaker on the major circuits, including keynotes at Cannes Lions Festival, AdWeek New York, Festival of Media Global and others, she has twice been the winner of the News Corp award for Women in Innovation (2014/2015) and a Telstra Women’s Award winner (2014).
