With over thirty years experience, Matt has been privileged to work with and launch some of the world’s most renowned super brands such as Virgin, Microsoft, Nissan and Samsung to name but a few. He has worked extensively with some of the biggest media owner and publishing enterprises across Europe, America, Asia and Australasia and his career has taken him across the world living and working in London, NY, Paris & Sydney. Matt brings twenty years CEO & Senior Executive experience working in dynamic and transformative roles across media, entertainment, broadcast, marketing, digital, data and sales. Latterly, he was the Global CEO for Zenith Media (London), Group CEO for Publicis Media ANZ (Sydney & Auckland), Managing Director ANZ for Nine Entertainment’s digital business Mi9 Media including the Director of Powered and the Global Media Director at Omnicom Media Group for the Renault Nissan alliance based in Paris. Today, Matt oversees the Nine Melbourne corporate group both operationally and financially including overarching responsibility for the results, reputation and growth in audiences, brand presence and revenue of Nine Melbourne. As Nine Melbourne’s ambassador he works closely with strategic partners across the Victorian market including Government, Sports, Arts & Culture, Media and Businesses.

Since 2012 Matt has enjoyed being part of the Australian media and broadcast fraternity. For three consecutive years between 2016 and 2018 he was featured in the Adnews Top 50 Media Power list, has been an active industry participant and advocate helping to drive growth and learning as a board director of the Media Federation of Australia, Member of Australian Institute of Directors and a member of the Facebook APAC council. He was also a mentor for the Marketing Academy both in London and Sydney. Previously, a member of the Institute of Directors in London; a tutor at Cambridge University for the UK Media Planning Module and also worked with the University of Sydney’s Capstone Marketing degree. Matt has worked extensively with many of Australia’s industry bodies including ACCC and Think TV. Before departing to London in 2018, he completed an initiative with RMIT’s Professor Ingo Karpen in Melbourne to create one of the industry’s first Design Thinking communications planning frameworks in his role as the inaugural CEO of Publicis Media.
