Rob is currently the Chief People Officer for Wunderman Thompson Australia / New Zealand. He was brought in, to help transition through a significant time of change due to the global and local integration of JWT, Wunderman & Meerkats. Prior to his role at Wunderman Thompson, Rob returned home to Melbourne as Chief Talent (HR) Officer, Australia & Regional Director Talent, APAC, after an amazing 4 years at McCANN London. Rob has played a critical part in McCANN London’s s recent success, having helped transform and diversify talent and performance management. Robʼs unique and forward-thinking approach to talent has also played a significant role in converting new business with local and global clients. He sits on the Global Diversity & Inclusion Coalition and was recognised by being asked to present evidence at The House of Lords regarding the benefits of an internationally diverse workforce in the wake of Brexit.
Previously, Rob was the Global Talent Partner for Adidas, based out of HQ in Germany, where he oversaw the major sporting brands largest Talent initiative in the history of the business. In addition to this, Rob was responsible for building and enhancing Adidas’s digital offering across Germany, Amsterdam, London, Brazil, Moscow, New York, Paris, Tokyo & Shanghai.
Rob recently married his British wife Annabel and the happy couple still argue over the correct pronunciation of yoghurt! He was born and raised in Melbourne and before becoming a talent mogul, fulfilled his childhood dream of playing for the Melbourne Tigers in the NBL from2008 – 2010… He’s also an avid sneaker collector and the proud father Finley his 2-year-old son and Rupert Montgomery Stone (British Bulldog).
