Head of Research, Insights and Media Planning, ANZ
Sonny Sethi is the Head of Research, Insights and Media Planning at Uber.
He was Uber’s first hire in the research space and is tasked to set-up, manage and expand the R&I function across Australia and New Zealand. He works in Uber ANZ’s Regional Marketing division across Uber Rides and Uber Eats – and loves speaking to Riders, Drivers, Eaters, Delivery Partners and Restaurant-partners.
Sonny has 14+ years of Australian Customer Research and Insights experience, working as a researcher/consultant at Ipsos, ACNielsen and Research International; and client-side at oOh!Media. Foxtel and TAB/SkyRacing.
The breadth of his projects covers Marketing, Innovation/Product launches, Communications, Customer journey research, Customer panels across FMCG, Media and Entertainment, Telco, White Goods and Utilities industries.
His mantra is to provide 360° research support for change – with a goal to add value to everyday business decision making.
Sonny’s completed his Bachelors in Economics in Mumbai and holds an MBA in Marketing from UTS, Sydney. His wife (co-incidentally) also works at Uber, and they have two kids.
