Closing the Gender Stage Gap
Are you a female leader ready to own the stage?
About the initiative
Ashton Media is proud to be an advocate for equality – and we believe actions speak louder than words.
Our Closing the Gender Stage Gap initiative aims to address one of the most persistent challenges in our industry: the lack of gender balance on conference stages.
To achieve true 50/50 gender representation, Ashton Media must extend twice as many invitations to women as to men.
Despite being highly capable decision-makers, many women hesitate to accept speaking invitations – often due to confidence barriers rather than capability gaps.
The Closing the Gender Stage Gap initiative exists to change that – not through policy statements, but through practical empowerment.
To address this, Ashton Media partners with confidence experts to deliver complimentary confidence-building workshops for female leaders across the industries that we belong to including; marketing, media, retail and CX (to name a few).
These workshops provide practical tools to:
- Build confidence in public speaking and storytelling
- Develop an empowered leadership mindset
- Equip participants to say “yes” to speaking and leadership opportunities
We will keep you informed when the next workshop will be held.
This initiative directly supports corporate Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) commitments by developing female talent pipelines and improving gender representation in thought leadership and industry forums.

I’ve declined many opportunities to speak at various forums and have not been able to share the depth of knowledge and experience I’ve attained in my field. This workshop was a life changing and inspiring experience. I’ve taken away learnings I’m desperate to share with other women in my life…
