Erica Schmidt

Erica Schmidt, the first female to ascend to the Global CEO role of IPG Mediabrands’ advertising technology unit Cadreon, continues to break barriers. As Global CEO, Schmidt focuses on the global development and management of IPG’s programmatic offering, which provides data-driven marketing solutions on behalf of its partners – UM, Initiative and Reprise – as well as its clients.

 

With 20 years of digital experience, Erica leads a global team delivering best-in-class programmatic and strategic advisory services.

 

Armed with extensive data and technology expertise Erica has brought Cadreon’s programmatic vision to life in markets around the world by ensuring that real, measurable business outcomes are delivered for all clients. Erica is passionate about her team of specialists and has put people at the center of a technology-heavy industry. Alongside Cadreon’s business endeavors, Erica is deeply committed to building a best-in-class culture at Cadreon. She serves as a Board Member of IPG’s Women’s Leadership Network, and executive sponsor of Cadreon’s Impact Group, a network championing women in advertising technology across the U.S..

 

Prior to becoming Global CEO, Schmidt served as Executive Vice President, Managing Director, North America where she led the Cadreon team that developed the agency’s best-in-class product suite. As a leading voice in the ad tech and programmatic space, Schmidt has strengthened Cadreon’s consulting practice by building data-enabled strategies with direct impact on investment decisions. Before that, she spent eight years in London working on the global development and rollout of Dentsu Aegis’ search offering iProspect, as well as its programmatic trading offering.

Marty Carroll

 

Global VP Digital Marketing, Electrolux (UK)

 

Marty Carroll is the Global VP of Digital Marketing at Electrolux, a leading home appliance manufacturer whose brands such as AEG, Electrolux, Frigidaire and Westinghouse are sold in 150 markets across the globe.

 

His areas of responsibility include paid media, search, content management, social media, analytics and the evolution of Electrolux’s ecommerce channels (both direct and indirect) as well as engagement with the startup ecosystem.
Marty has 20 years of experience working in digital marketing and transformation roles across industries. He has worked for KPMG and Santander while prior to that he co-founded a digital UX consultancy.

 

International Keynote: Ryan Christensen

 

SVP, Product, Digital Platform, AppNexus, A Xandr Company

 

Fresh out of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Ryan Christensen did what many ambitious graduates do and accepted a position with a Silicon Valley consulting firm focused on helping leading technology companies successfully launch new products. Before too long, he moved to Rocket Network, this time as VP of product management. And then, he chose the road less taken: Together with a few friends and colleagues, he heeded his entrepreneurial urge and bootstrapped his own start-up, an enterprise security company.

 

It was a three-year experience that taught Ryan a lot, delivering new insights and lessons every day and proving, each day anew, just how important teamwork truly is to a company’s success. Ready to return to the corporate world, he joined Yahoo!, where he served as senior director of the company’s global advertising marketplace, and at Brand.net, where he was VP of Media Operations, and later, SVP of product marketing and business development.

 

In 2012, he joined the social gaming pioneer Zynga, where he led advertising product and engineering, successfully developing and deploying the company’s proprietary ad delivery and monetization platform that unified mobile, video, native, and reward ads into a seamless ad offering for the company’s global advertisers.

 

Since joining AppNexus in 2013, Ryan served as VP of product before becoming SVP and GM and assuming the responsibility for driving the development and introduction of the AppNexus Publisher Suite, helping digital publishers and app developers manage all aspects of their digital advertising and monetization. He became the company’s COO in 2016, and, now part of Xandr, looks forward to being intimately involved in helping to shape the exchange of value between content producers and consumers in years to come.
