hours in the Hunter Valley

Australia’s most-loved MarTech conference

Designed for deeper and more meaningful connections, this event is the very opposite of a one-day inner-city conference. With not a single exhibition stand in sight, the Marketing Tech Symposium offers two days of compelling keynote presentations, fireside chats and curated social experiences – giving you’re the space and the time to have the conversations that matter most.

You’ll form unparalleled connections in a relaxed, distraction-free setting that no exhibition hall or inner-city venue could ever match.

We’re excited to be returning to the Rydges Resort, Hunter Valley on 8th-10th September. Register your interest to stay up to date with speaker announcements and the 2025 program.

Our Content For 2025:

If our word for 2024 was ‘Composability’ for 2025 it’s ‘Ownership’

That’s because what MarTech is, is huge. A lot bigger that what is encapsulated in 2013, when Ashton Media began covering work in this crucial space. While MarTech covers many things, what we primarily look at are challenges faced by digital marketers that are looking to utilise technology, and their first-party data, to create personalised marketing experiences through their owned channels. A key question is whether that should be where we draw the line on what MarTech is.

Our agenda and Topics & Trends report focus on two key themes:

Operationalising the Process of Personalisation:

  • – Setting the Strategy – Digital Technology & Architecture
  • – Data Enablement – Analytics & Insights
  • – The Content Supply Chain – Personalisation at Scale
  • – MarTech & CX – Connect Customer Journey’s with AI & Automation

Contextualising MarTech in 2025

  • – Ownership in MarTech – Who Should, and Who Does, Own What in the Digital Marketing Ecosystem?
  • – Right-Sizing Your Tech Stack – What Good Looks Like in 2025
  • – Harmonising Your Owned Marketing with Your Paid Media
  • – Privacy and Regulations for the Future

Giovanni Brusetti

2025 International Keynote:
Giovanni Brusetti

Director, Technical Product Management, Marketing Technology, Epic Games

Gio is a MarTech nerd with a track record of making it work across B2B (Caterpillar, Expedia), B2C (Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson Consumer Health), and now the wild world of Fortnite at Epic Games. He has helped many brands cut through the noise with smarter tech, better data, and less fluff.

These days, he is building future-proof systems that marketers actually want to use. If there’s one thing Giovanni believes, it’s that great customer experiences don’t happen by accident: they’re engineered. And he’s happy to share a bit about how to do that.

Gio is originally from Italy, he’s based on the shores of Lake Zurich in Switzerland and has studied at UQ in Brisbane in 2013.
