Counterterrorism, combatting transnational organised crime, aviation security, child protection and the many other functions performed by the AFP are placing unprecedented pressure on the resources of the organization. The unpredictable operational environment, increasingly technically capable adversaries and the sheer volume of demand for the AFP’s services mean strong, effective executive leadership has never been more important to the organisation and the community. This session will discuss the critical role leadership plays in permitting the AFP to successfully tackle these challenges in the context of real-world, dynamic and high-risk operational environments.
