The Programmatic Summit this year has been dedicated to the death of the cookie. Since Google announced it would be sunsetting third party cookies in 2022, the marketing industry has been filled with stories of the end of days.

But is this really the end of advertising as we know it? Savvy marketers have been quietly rebuilding their tech stacks to work around first-party rather than third-party cookies as early as 2017.

In this roundtable session, we’ll look at how our agencies and brands are working to shift their stacks to ensure they’re still delivering targeted, high performing campaigns in the post-cookie world.

Christian Solomon is Managing Partner at Mindshare Melbourne. Christian leads a team of 35 people on one of GroupM Australia’s largest anchor accounts, the National Australia Bank account. Christian also sits on the Mindshare Australia national senior leadership team and is involved in the agency’s direction and product development.

Christian spent over 10 years working abroad in China at GroupM media agencies, where in his last role he served as Chief Digital Officer for MediaCom leading the agency’s digital capability and a team of 60 specialists across all digital competencies.

Christian has been recognized as an industry leader; being named Campaign Digital “A Lister” in 2018 and runner up as “Digital Marketer” of the year, primarily for his part in driving GroupM digital transformation and huge new business growth. Christian has also been recognized for his thought leadership winning the WPP Atticus Award category of “Media and Communications” in 2019.

He has more than 18 years technology, media and marketing industry experience across APAC.

Christian’s client category experience includes Automotive, FMCG, CPG, Luxury, Finance. Leading large client teams and digital head roles across, National Australia Bank, MLC, Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, GSK, Mars, Wrigley, Shell, Richemont Group and P&G.
