Bringing Australia’s Wine Regions to YOU

Wine tasting

Do you know what sucks? Lockdown. Do you know what’s fun? Cheese and Wine tastings. Let’s be real, given the extension of the lockdown and the fact the Army is on the streets, none of us are crossing any borders and heading to a wine region anytime soon.

So I thought, why don’t we break up the monotony and bring Australia’s wine regions to us! Thanks to Artisan cheesemonger and wine extraordinaire Paul Thompson we can explore two of the best things in life – cheese and wine.

All you need to do is log on, then sit back and relax. You will taste 4 amazing wines and 4 incredible cheeses from across Australia, whilst learning how regionality, vintage, seasons and provenance all influence the perfect pairing. The session is interactive and you’ll have plenty of opportunities to ask questions.

After the session, feel free to crack another bottle and chat away with the group.

To save on courier costs, I will get the tasting packs delivered to my apartment in Randwick, we can coordinate pick-ups or local drop-offs.

How much you say? A measly $60 per head – Please RSVP by Friday 6th of August.

The Artisan Cheese Room

The Artisan Cheese RoomThe Artisan Cheese Room was established in Manly in 2016 by husband and wife team, Paul and Joanna Thompson.

They are both experienced and passionate about all things cheese and have created a shop that is a true celebration of this unique and utterly wonderful food. They pride themselves on sourcing the best artisan cheeses from around the world, including showcasing the developing Australian farmhouse cheese industry. Cheeses are perfectly maintained within their beautiful cheese room. Our goal is to help our customers to their perfect selection by providing passionate and informative service and by offering guided tastings.

For over 3 years they have facilitated an ongoing and ever-changing program of Tasting Events and partnered with Breweries, Gin and Whisky Distilleries and of course, Winemakers from across Australia.

They run monthly Masterclasses for their customers and have built up a very loyal customer base, through their passion for discovering the ultimate pairing. Customers learn about the tastes and terroirs of wine and cheese and how regionality, vintage, seasons and provenance all influence the perfect pairing. Their virtual events are fun, informative, and interactive.
