Uma Oldham

Uma Oldham is the Head of Marketing and Media at SBS where she leads a multi-disciplinary team to drive growth for all SBS key content, brands, and products across streaming, linear, audio and publishing in 60+ languages. Her remit includes big hits such as Alone Australia and The Handmaids Tale, global sporting events such as FIFA World Cup, community impact initiatives such as NAIDOC, essential services such as Australia Explained a key resource for new migrants and the always on lifecycle marketing which includes CRM and the associated Martech.

She also has extensive experience in Marketing, Advertising, Brand and Digital having worked in media agencies in strategy and team leadership roles on clients such as NewsCorp, Qantas, Nestle, Hyundai, Kia, Oxfam, Fairfax and Lion. She is a Board Director for the Auburn Youth Centre, focused on youth programs offering early intervention, an advisory board member for REELise, focused on using filmmaking to address the issue of youth mental health and on the expert advisory group for the Australian Human Rights Commissions next anti-racism campaign. Uma is Indian born and grew up in regional Australia so brings a diverse perspective.
